      EcoImpact And Sustainability For Biodiesel

There is keen interest around sustainability in the biofuels industry. But what does sustainability really mean? It means taking a holistic view and approach to the production of biofuels, and in our industry, biodiesel.

Sustainability is an environmentally and socially grounded approach that reduces net green house gases (GHG) emissions. Today, within the biodiesel industry, it can truly only be achieved within a localized framework.

Biodiesel production does not necessarily reduce total GHG if huge quantities of feedstocks, for example, need to travel half-way around the world to be refined. Fossil fuels consumed in the production of feedstocks, transportation, and refining may offset actual GHG benefits of biodiesel production and consumption at a macro level.

That is why a localized approach of producing and procuring renewable feedstocks, refining, distributing, and consuming is the ideal sustainable model. Sustainability through localization is not easily achieved, but with correct planning, investments, technologies, and business models, sustainability can be accomplished... and replicated.

That's why Fueleon is the Future of Fuel. We have sustainable technologies and business models today and for our future. Contact us today to see how your community can benefit, and ultimately, help us contribute to sustainability and the Future of Fuel.
